p.m. (m) excise shops ; (n) persons whose work is inherently intermittent, such as a traveller, a canvasser, a watchman, a messenger or a care- taker ; (o) persons exclusively employed in connection with the collection, despatch, delivery or conveyance of goods or the customs formalities thereof ; and ' • (p) such other shops, establishments or persons or such classes of any of them as ! he State .Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette exempt from the operation of all or any, of the provisions of this Act. . · (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette declare that any shop, estabiishment or person specified in that sub-section shall not be exempt from the operation of such provisions of this Act as may be specified in the notification and that this provisions of this Act specified in such notification shall apply to such shop, establishment or- person.
