Power and functions of the Authority:- Subject to such rules as may be made under this Act, the powers and duties of the Authority shall be — (a) to administer the affairs of the Loktak Lake and to protect and improve the natural environment of lake; (b) regulate by granting of approvals or otherwise requests for commercial utilization or bio—survey and bio—utilisation of any lake resources; and (c) to do such other things as may be incidental or conducive to the efficient administration for protection and improvement of the lake.
