(I) Where Sthe Kate Government is satisfied that for the better cultivation ofiands and production Of crops and due preservatitn and; proper utilisation or" water resources ' of any irrigation work, or in the public interest. it is expedient to regulate the kind- of crops that shouldvbe sown. planted or groWh on lands under the irrigabte somtnand o“a'n irrigation worker any part thereof, and the period during which Such. crops should be sown, planted or grown on xuch lands,the State Governmentmay, having regard to the soit eharacteristm, climate, rainfall and water available by order in writing make a declaration to that effect; Such a declaration shall be given vide publicty in suchmanner by the Cannai Officer anthorised by the State Government may think fit.
