(1) Within twenty one days _of the publication of anotice under section 22, any person interested in the field channel to which the notice refers may apply to the Divisional Canal Officer by petition stating his objections to- the transfer for which application has been made. (2) The Divisional Canal Oflicer may either reject the petition or may proceed to enquire into the validity of the objections, givmg previous notice to persons concerned stating the place and time at Which such enquiry will be held. Provided that such notice shall also be given to the Collector of the district through Whose jurisdiction the field channel passes. ”(3) The Divisional Canal Officer shall record in writing all orders passed by him under this section and the grounds thereof.
