Insertion of a new section “A.——Aftet section 44 of the Act, the following Viz-aw section shall be inserted, namely.—— - "44-A—Allotment/trauafar/leaseof land situated'in an Autonomous district.— No Deputy Commissioner of the Hill Areas shall have powers to allot/ transfer/lease tho land situated in an Autonomous district other than for public purposes except in pursuance of a resolution passed by a Dirtrict Council at a meeting thereof by a majority‘of not less than two-third of its Council Members." 4 Addition of a new section 54.——After section 53 ofthe Act, tho following new section shall be added, namely.— ‘ , _ “54 Repeal.—The Manipur (Hill Areas) District Council Act,- 2000 (Mauipur Act No. 11 of 2000) is hereby repealed."
