The period for which a child ,or delinquent child is to be detained in an institution shall be specified in the order in pursuance of which he is sent there and such period shall not be less than two years in the case of .a delinquent child who at the time of the order is over fifteen years and three years in the case of any other delinquent children as the court may deem proper for his teaching _ and training but not in any case extending beyond the time ,when he will in the opinion of the court attain the age of twenty years.
