(1) The Board of each Major Port shall be competent to enter into and perform any contract necessary for discharging of its functions under this Act. (2) Every contract shall, on behalf of the Board of each Major Port, be made by the Chairperson or by any such officer of the Board as the Chairperson may by general or special order, authorise in this behalf and shall be sealed with the common seal of the Board (3) The form and manner in which any contract shall be made under this Act, shall be such as may be specified by regulations.
