Constitution of Standing Committee.— (1) Subject to the provisions of section 81, the Standing Committee shall consist of— (a) the President; (b) the Chairman of Subjects Committees; 8[(c) subject to any rules made by the State Government in that behalf, 9[eight Councillors] elected by the Zilla Parishad from amongst its Councillors; so however that not more than two seats shall be reserved for Councillors belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or] 10* * * backward classes of citizens. 11* * * * * * * 1 These words and figures were substituted for the words “shall appoint” by Mah. 6 of 1975, s. 21(a). 2 Entries (c) and (d) were substituted by Mah. 22 of 1970, s. 2(1).
