Alternative procedure by suit.— In lieu of any process of recovery allowed by or under this Act or in case of failure to realise by such process the whole or any part of any amount 1962 : Mah. V] The Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat 125 Samitis Act, 1961 recoverable under the provisions of Chapter XI or of any compensation, expenses, charges or damages awarded under this Act, the Zilla Parishad may sue in any Court of competent jurisdiction the person liable to pay the same, as also any other person who may have in any way caused any injury to any property, rights or privileges of the Zilla Parishad.
