Amended by Mah. 39 of 20118 (5-10-2011)9 1 Maharashtra Ordinance No. XXV of 2004 was repealed by Mah. 2 of 2005, s. 3. 2 Maharashtra Ordinance No. XXVIII of 2004 was repealed by Mah. 3 of 2005, s. 4. 3 Maharashtra Ordinance IV of 2007 was repealed by Mah. 21 of 2007, s. 4. 4 Section 8 of Mah. 5 of 2009 reads as follows :— “8. Removal of doubt.— For the removal of doubt, it is hereby declared that, the election to a reserved seat to the Village Panchayats or Panchayat Samitis or Zilla Parishads, before the date of coming into force of sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 of this Act, shall be regulated by the relevant provisions of the Bombay Village Panchayats Act, 1958 (Bom. III of 1959) or the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Mah. V of 1962), as they existed immediately before such date of commencement.”. 5 Vide G.N., R.D. & W.C.D., No. MISC. 2007 /C.R. 157 /PR-2, dated 2-3-2009. 6 Vide G.N., R.D. & W.C.D., No. SANKIRNA. 2010 /C.R-122/PR-2, dated 10-1-2011. 7 Section 8 of Mah. 19 of 2011 reads as follows :— “8. Power to remove difficulties.— (1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of the Bombay Village Panchayats Act, 1958 (Bom. III of 1959) and the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Mah. V of 1962), as amended by this Act or by reason of anything contained therein, or in giving effect to any of these Acts in respect of the matters contained in this Act, the State Government may, as occasion arises, by order, do anything which appears to it to be necessary for the purpose of removing the difficulty : Provided that, no such order shall be made after the expiry of the period of two years from the date of commencement of this Act. (2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid, as soon as may be, after it is made, before each House of State Legislature.”. 8 Mah. Ord. No. XIX of 2011 was repealed by Mah. 39 of 2011, s. 5. 9 Section 4 of Mah. 39 of 2011 reads as follows :— “4. Removal of difficulties.— (1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act by reason of anything contained therein, or in giving effect to the provisions of the Bombay Village Panchayats Act, 1958 (Bom. III of 1959) or, the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Mah. V of 1962), as the case may be, in respect of any matter contained in this Act, the State Government may, as occasion arises, by order published in the Official Gazette, do anything which appears to it to be necessary for the purpose of removing the difficulty : Provided that, no such order shall be made after expiry of the period of two years from the date of commencement of this Act. (2) Every order issued under sub-section (1) shall be laid, as soon as may be, after it is issued, before each House of the State Legislature.”.
