The State Committee shall exercise the following powers and perform the following functions, namely :- ( a ) to monitor the protection provided to the witnesses under the Act ; (b) to give necessary directions to District Committees and the police stations for protection to the witnesses ; ( c ) any other powers and functions as may be prescribed.
