( 1 ) The investigating officer or any police officer or any person who has a knowledge that the witnesses are being physically protected, contravenes the provision of section 11, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both. ( 2 ) Any person who contravenes any order or direction issued by the Court under section 12, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both.
