Section 13

Powers of Authority and Dispute Resolution Officer.

The Authority and the Dispute Resolution Officer shall for the purposes of making any inquiry or initiating any proceedings under this Act, have the powers as are vested in a civil court, under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (5 of 1908) in respect of the following matters, namely :- ( a ) the summoning and enforcing the attendance of any witness and examining him on oath; (b) the discovery and production of any document or other material object producible as evidence; ( c ) the reception of evidence on affidavits; ( d ) the requisition of any public record; ( e ) the issue of commission for examination of witnesses; ( f ) review its decisions, directions and orders; ( g ) any other matter which may be prescribed.
