Section 9

Power to require planting of adequate number of trees.

( 1 ) If, in the opinion of the Tree Officer, the number of trees in any land is not adequate according to the standards prescribed under paragraph ( c ) of section 7, the Tree Officer may, after giving a reasonable opportunity to the owner or occupier of the land of being heard, by order require him to plant such trees or additional trees and at such places in the land as may be specified in the order. ( 2 ) When an order is made under sub-section ( 1 ), the owner or occupier of the land shall comply with the order within ninety days from the receipt thereof
