( 1 ) The Board of Examinations shall be the authority for conducting the examinations and making policy decisions in regard to organising and holding examinations, improving the system of examinations, appointing the paper-setters, examiners and moderators, and also prepare the schedule of dates for holding examinations and declaration of the results. The Board of Examinations shall also oversee and regulate the conduct of examinations in the autonomous colleges, institutions and University departments. ( 2 ) The Board of Examinations shall deal with all the matters in relation to examinations and shall hear and decide the complaints received pertaining to any matter arising out of conduct of examinations. The procedure to be followed by the Board in their deliberations shall be such as may be prescribed. ( 3 ) The Board of Examinations shall consist of the following members, namely :- ( a ) Vice-Chancellor, Chairperson ; (b) Pro-Vice-Chancellor ; ( c ) the Dean of the faculty concerned with the examination ; ( d ) one head of University department, not below the rank of Reader, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor ; ( e ) one principal other than Dean of faculty nominated by the Management Council ; ( f ) one teacher other than heads of departments or principals, nominated by the Management Council ; ( g ) one evaluation expert, co-opted by the Board ; ( h ) Controller of Examinations shall be the ex-officio Member-Secretary.
