( 1 ) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint any persons, having the prescribed qualifications to be Inspectors for the purposes of this Act. ( 2 ) Every Inspector shall perform such duties and exercise such powers, as may be prescribed. ( 3 ) Every Inspector shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (XLV of 1860).
