Section 13

Circumstances under which superior officers and members of Dal entitled to use force.

( 1 ) A superior officer or member of the Dal , may, when there is a reasonable apprehension of assault on himself or on any superior officer or any other member of the Dal , or of damage or harm to any property or person which or whom it is his duty to protect and safeguard, use such force to the wrong doer or assailant or any other person assisting such wrong doer or assailant as may be reasonably necessary. ( 2 ) The provisions of sub-section ( 1 ) shall be in addition to, and not in derogation of, the provisions of sections 100 to 103 of the Indian Penal Code (XLV of 1860).
