( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Suraksha Dal Act, 1986. ( 2 ) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. ( 3 ) It shall come into force in such area and from such date, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint; and difference dates may be appointed for different areas.
