In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- ( a ) "Commission" means the Maharashtra State Commission for Women constituted under section 3 ; (b) "Director General of Police" means the Director General of Police, Maharashtra State ; ( c ) "member" means a member of the Commission and include the Chairperson and the Member-Secretary; ( d ) "National Commission for Women" means the National Commission for Women constituted under section 3 of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (20 of 1990) ; ( e ) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act ; ( f ) "women" includes female-child or adolescent girl.
