(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Sinhastha Fair Pilgrim Tax Act, 1980. (2) It extends to the area within the limits of the Trimbak Municipal Council established under the Maharashtra Municipalities Act, 1965 and to its peripheral area of five kilometres. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 29th August 1979 and shall be in force for the period ending on the 26th September 1980 and shall then cease to have effect, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before the expiration of the period aforesaid.
