( 1 ) With effect from and on the appointed day the provisions of the enactments specified in the Schedule shall to the extent specified in column 4 thereof cease to apply to all service inams. ( 2 ) Nothing in sub-section ( 1 ) shall be deemed to affect,- ( a ) any obligation or liability already incurred before the appointed day ; (b) any proceeding in respect of such obligation or liability ; or ( c ) anything done in the course of such proceeding in any Court on or before the aforesaid date ; and any such proceeding may be continued and disposed of as if this Act had not been passed.
