( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes ( Vimukta Jatis ), Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Category (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Caste Certificate Act, 2000. ( 2 ) It shall come into force on such date, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , 1 appoint.
