( 1 )This Act may be called the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966. ( 2 ) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such date 1 as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint but the State Government may if it thinks fit bring different provisions of this Act into force at different times.
