( 1 ) There shall be a Council to be called as the Maharashtra State Rashtriya Uchhatrar Shiksha Abhiyan Council (hereinafter referred to as "RUSA"). ( 2 ) The Council under sub-section ( 1 ) shall be a body corporate, having perpectual succession and a common Seal and may by the name sue or be sued. ( 3 ) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette specify the composition, functions and responsibilities of the council under sub-section ( 1 ), which shall be in conformity with the guidelines of RUSA of the Government of India: Provided that, every such notification shall be laid as soon as may be, after it is issued, before each House of the State Legislature. ( 4 ) The Council under sub-section ( 1 ) shall forward a yearly report of its activities, to the Commission under section 76.
