( 1 ) Every election to any authority or body of the university under this Act, except the elections to the post referred in clauses ( a ) to ( e ) of sub-section ( 2 ) and clauses ( a ) to ( e ) of sub-section ( 3 ) of section 99, shall be held by ballot in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote and as prescribed by the Statutes. ( 2 ) The other details relating to elections not specified in the Act shall be as prescribed by the Statutes.
