Section 47

Board of Examinations and Evaluation.

( 1 ) The Board of Examinations and Evaluation shall be the authority to deal with all matters relating to examinations and evaluation. The Board of Examinations and Evaluation shall also oversee the conduct of examinations in the autonomous colleges, institutions, university departments and university institutions. ( 2 ) The Board of Examinations and Evaluation shall meet at least twice in an academic year. ( 3 ) The Board of Examinations and Evaluation shall consist of the following members, namely :- ( a ) the Vice-Chancellor - Chairperson; (b) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor; ( c ) the Deans of Faculties and Associate Deans, if any; ( d ) two Principals other than Dean, nominated by the Management Council; ( e ) one professor of the university departments, to be nominated by the Management Council; ( f ) one teacher from affiliated Colleges other than heads of Departments or Principals with the minimum teaching experience of fifteen years to be nominated by Management Council; ( g ) one expert in the field of evaluation in computerized environment, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; ( h ) one expert not below the rank of Deputy Registrar of other Statutory University from the State of Maharashtra who has experience related to examination work in computerized environment as an invitee to be nominated by Vice-Chancellor; (i) Director of Higher Education or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Director; ( j ) Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation - Member-Secretary.
