(1) The Government may issue directions to the university to carry out or comply with the provisions of this Act and rules, Statutes or Ordinances made thereunder. (2) The Government may appoint a Committee to inspect the administration and working of a university, at any time, after giving prior notice of such inspection to ensure proper compliance with the provisions of this Act. Powers of Government to inspect university. ¨É½þÉ®úɹ]Åõ ¶ÉɺÉxÉ ®úÉVÉ{ÉjÉ +ºÉÉvÉÉ®úhÉ ¦ÉÉMÉ +É`ö, +ÉìMɺ]õ 7, 2024/¸ÉÉ´ÉhÉ 16, ¶ÉEäò 1946 27 (3) The Government may issue directions to the university for time bound compliance or to rectify the deficiencies or lapses pointed out by the Committee appointed under sub-section (2). (4) For the purpose of ascertaining the standards of teaching, assessment and evaluation and research or any other matter relating to the university, the Government may, after consultation with the President and Vice- Chancellor, cause an assessment to be made in such manner as may be prescribed, by rules, by such person or persons as it may deem fit. (5) The Government shall communicate to the university its recommendations in regard to the result of such assessment for corrective action and the university shall take such corrective measures as are necessary so as to ensure the compliance of the recommendations. (6) If the university fails to comply with the recommendations made under sub-section (5) within a reasonable time, the Government may give such directions as it may deem fit, which shall be binding on the university.
