( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Private Professional Educational Institutions (Reservation of seats for admission for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes ( Vimukta Jatis ), Nomadic Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 2006. ( 2 ) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. ( 3 ) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 16th June 2006.
