( 1 ) The Executive Council shall be the chief executive body of the university. ( 2 ) The administration, management and control of the university and income thereof shall be vested with the Executive Council which shall control and administer the property and funds of the university. ( 3 ) The Executive Council shall consist of the following persons, namely :- ( i ) the Vice-Chancellor ; ( ii ) a member of the General Council, who is a judge to be nominated by the Chancellor ; ( iii ) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Maharashtra, Higher and Technical Education Department ; ( iv ) the Secretary or Principal Secretary or, as the case may be, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Finance Department ; ( v ) the Secretary or Principal Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department ; ( vi ) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the legal field ; ( vii ) a member of the General Council, who is a eminent person in the educational field ; ( viii ) five Professors or Associate Professors of the university to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. ( 4 ) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairman of the Executive Council.
