Punishment for importing cattle, etc., in 7[Brihan Mumbai].— Whoever contravenes any provisions of sub-section (1) of section 412 shall, on conviction, be punished,— (a) for a first offence, with fine which may extend to 8[rupees two hundred]; (b) for a second and subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 9[one year and fine which may extend to two thousand rupees]: Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the Court, such imprisonment shall not be less than 10[two months and such fine shall not be less than four hundred rupees].].
