10[State] Government may sanction the reopening of places which have been closed for the disposal of the dead.— (1) If, after personal inspection, the Commissioner shall at any time be of opinion that any place formerly used for the disposal of the dead, which has been closed under the provisions of the last preceding section or under any other law or authority has by lapse of time become no longer injurious to health, and may without risk of danger be again used for the said purpose, he may submit his said opinion, with the reasons therefor, to the corporation, who shall forward the same, with their opinion, for the consideration of the 11[12[State] Government]. (2) Upon receipt of such opinion, the 13[14[State] Government] after such further inquiry, if any as 15[it] shall deem fit to cause to be made, may by notification published as aforesaid direct that such place be re-opened for the disposal of the dead. Every order so made shall be noted in the register kept under section 435.
