Place for disinfection may be provided also for washing infected articles.— (1) The Commissioner may provide a place, with all necessary apparatus and attendance, or the disinfection of clothing, bedding for other articles which have become infected, and in his discretion may have articles brought to such place for disinfection, disinfected on payment of such fees as he shall from time to time, fix with the approval of the 1[Standing Committee] in this behalf, or, in any case in which thinks fit, free of charge. (2) The Commissioner may, from time to time, by public notice, appoint a place at which clothing, bedding, or other articles which have been exposed to infection from any dangerous disease may be washed; and no person shall wash any such article at any place not so appointed without having previously disinfected the same. (3) Infected articles may be destroyed.— The Commissioner may direct the disinfection or destruction of bedding, clothing or other articles likely to retain infection. (4) The Commissioner may, in his discretion, give compensation for any article destroyed under sub-section (3).
