[Penalty for representing any article to be what it is not.] Repealed by Bom. 10 of 1928, s. 15. 4[417B. Penalty for possessing food which appears to be diseased, unsound or unwholesome or unfit for human food.— In every case in which food, on being dealt with under section 417, appears to the Magistrate to be diseased, unsound or unwholesome or unfit for human food, the owner thereof or the person in whose possession it was found not being merely bailee or carrier thereof, shall, if any such case the provisions of section 273 of the Indian Penal Code (XLV of 1860) do not apply, be punished with fine which may extend to 5[five] hundred rupees.
