Refund of 4[water tax and sewerage tax] when and to what extent obtainable.— When any building or land, or any portion of any premises which the Commissioner has treated under section 158 as a separate property, has been vacant for not less than thirty consecutive days, the Commissioner 1 Section 173BA was inserted by Mah. 11 of 2009, s. 27. 2 Section 173BB was inserted by Mah. 34 of 1973, s. 21. 3 Section 173C was inserted by Mah. 51 of 1975, s. 10. 4 These words were substituted for the words “water and halalkhore taxes” by Mah. 51 of 1975, s. 22(b). 204 The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act [1888 : III shall, subject to the provisions hereinafter contained, refund the amount of the water tax 1[and the sewerage tax], if any, paid for the number of days that such vacancy lasted.
