Definitions.— In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,— (a) “maintenance” in relation to a residence includes the payment of rates and taxes due to Government or . any local authority and the provision of electricity, gas and water ; (B)9f ‘Minister’, ‘Minister of State’ and ‘Deputy Minister’ means respectively a Minister, a Minister of State and a Deputy Minister] of the [Government of Maharashtra], and “Minister” includes the Chief Minister “[and the Deputy Chief Minister]; .
