( 1 ) This Act may be called the 1 [Maharashtra] Merged Territories Miscellaneous Alienations Abolition Act. ( 2 ) It extends to the merged territories in the 2 [pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.] ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint in this behalf.
