( 1 ) Any jagirdar entitled to compensation under section 11 or 12 shall, 1 [on or before the 31st day of July 1958 apply in writing to the Collector for determining the amount of compensation payable to him under the said section. ( 2 ) On receipt of an application under sub-section ( 1 ) the Collector shall, after making formal enquiry in the manner provided by the Code, make an award determining the amount of compensation. Where there is a co-sharer of a jagirdar claiming compensation, the Collector shall by his award apportion the compensation between the Jagirdar and the co-sharer.
