( 1 ) This Act may be called the 1 [MaharashtraMerged Territories and Areas (Jagirs Abolition) Act.] ( 2 ) It extends to the merged territories and the merged areas in the 2 [pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.] ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such date 3 as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint in this behalf.
