Section 12

Income and expenditure of the Council.

12. Income and Expenditure of the 1 [Council].- ( 1 ) The income of 2 [the Council] shall consist of- ( a ) fees received from practitioners; 3 [( a-1 ) fees received from examinees; ( a-2 ) any other fees collected by the Council;] (b) grants received from the State Government, if any; and 4 [( c ) donations and any other sums received by the Council.] ( 2 ) It shall be competent for 5 [the Council] to incur expenditure for the following purposes, namely :- ( a ) salaries and allowances of the Registrar and the staff 6 [including the Inspectors] maintained by 7 [the Council]; (b) fees and allowances paid to the members of 8 [the Council] 9 [or a committee 10 [(including a board of studies)] thereof or of the appellate authority referred to in sub-section ( 7 ) of section 17]; 11 [( b-1 ) remuneration paid to paper setters, examiners, moderators and other persons appointed by the Council for the conduct of examinations; ( b-2 ) other expenses for the conduct of examinations;] ( c ) such other expenses as are necessary for performing its duties and functions under this Act.
