( 1 ) This Act may be called 1 [the Maharashtra Lotteries (Control and Tax) and Prize Competitions (Tax) Act.] ( 2 ) It extends to the whole of the 2 [State of Maharashtra.] ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such date 3 as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint in this behalf.
