( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Lokayukta Act, 2023. ( 2 ) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. 1 [( 3 ) ( i ) Sections 1, 3 and 4 shall come into force on the date of publication of this Act in the Official Gazette . ( ii ) Remaining sections shall come into force on such date, as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.]
