Repeal.— The Bombay Legislative Council (Chairman and Deputy Chairman) and the Bombay Legislative Assembly (Speaker and Deputy Speaker) Salaries and Allowances Act, 1952 (Bom. VIII of 1952) (in this section referred to as the said Act) and any law corresponding to the provisions of this Act in force immediately before the 1st day of November 1956 in or in relation to any territories which after that date form part of the new 8State of Bombay, shall stand repealed: 1 Section 12A was substituted for the original by Mah. 2 of 1965, s. 8. 2 Section 12B was inserted by Mah. 48 of 1981, s. 5, which came into force on 18th September 1981. 3 These words were added by Mah. 32 of 2016, s. 5(c). 4 Section 12B was renumbered as sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) was inserted by Mah. 32 of 2016, s. 5(b). 5 These words were substituted for the words “of Rs. 25,000 per month form the State Government” by Mah. 44 of 2022, s. 2. 6 Sub-section (2) was inserted by Mah. 32 of 2016, s. 5(b). 7 Sub-sections (1) and (1A) were substituted for the original sub-section (1) by Mah. 8 of 1960, s. 3. 8 The words, “State of Bombay” shall stand unmodified (vide The Maharashtra Adaptation of Laws (State and Concurrent Subjects) Orders, 1960.) 1956 : XLVII] The Maharashtra Legislative Council (Chairman and 11 Deputy Chairman) and Maharashtra LegislativeAssembly (Speaker and Deputy Speaker) Salaries and Allowances Act Provided that notwithstanding such repeal any rules or orders made under the said Act shall, so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act continue in force and be deemed to have been made under the provisions of this Act, unless and until they are superseded by any rules or orders made under this Act.
