( 1 ) The 1 [State] Government may by notification in the Official Gazette make rules to carry into effect the purposes of this Act. ( 2 ) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for- (i) the form in which intimation shall be given under sub-section ( 1 ) of section 6; ( ii ) the manner of holding an inquiry under sub-section ( 1 ), and the amount of compensation to be prescribed under sub-section ( 3 ) of section 8; 2 [( ii-a ) the manner and form in which applications for determination of payment of compensation shall be made, and the information required to accompany such applications, under section 9B;] ( iii ) levy of court-fees in respect of appeals under sections 8 and 9; ( iv ) exemption of any land from the provisions of section 5 or 6 or both and the terms and conditions on which the land shall be exempted; ( v ) any other matter which under this Act is to be or may be prescribed.
