( 1 ) This Act may be called 1 [the Maharashtra Khoti Abolition Act]. ( 2 ) It extends to the districts of Ratnagiri and Kolaba as constituted immediately before the thirtieth day of July 1948. ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such 2 date as the 3 [State Government] may by notification in the Official Gazette , specify.
