( 1 ) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Khar Lands Development Act, 1979. ( 2 ) It extends to Greater Bombay and Thane, Kulaba and Ratnagiri Districts in the State of Maharashtra. ( 3 ) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th February 1979.
