With effect from the date on which this Act comes into force,- ( 1 ) all kaul and katuban leases are hereby cancelled ; ( 2 ) save as expressly provided by this Act, all terms and conditions of the said leases and all incidents thereunder shall be deemed to have been extinguished ; and ( 3 ) any tax known as a tree tax leviable in respect of any kauli or katuban land is hereby abolished.
