( 1 ) This Act may be called 1 [the Maharashtra Kauli and Katuban Tenures (Abolition) Act]. ( 2 ) It extends to the districts of Kolaba, Kolhapur and Ratnagiri in the State of Bombay. ( 3 ) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Offical Gazette , direct.
