If compensation is awarded under section 82 on account of a stoppage or diminution of supply of water in respect of any land paying revenue to the State Government, and the amount of the revenue pay- able on account of such land has been fixed with referrence to the water advantages appertaining thereto, the holder of the said land shall be entitled to an abatement of the amount of revenue payable to such extent as shall be determined by the Collector.
