( 1 ) This Act may be called the 1 [Maharashtra Inferior Village Watans Abolition Act]. ( 2 ) It extends to the 2 [Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra] and to the Hyderabad area of the State of Bombay. ( 3 ) This section shall come into force at once. ( 4 ) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , direct that the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in such local 3 area and on such 4 date as may be specified in the notification.
