Section 33

Procedure for filing appeal.

No appeal under section 32 shall be entertained unless,- ( a ) the appeal- 1 [ (i) under clause ( 1-a ), ( a ), (b) , ( bb ) or ( d ) of sub-section ( 1 ) of section 32 is brought within thirty days from the date of issue of Fire Safety Approval or from the date of service of notice or the date on which the refusal is communicated to the appellant or from the date of issue or order;] ( ii ) under clause ( c ) of sub-section ( 1 ) of section 32 is brought within forty-five days after the receipt of notice of the assessment: Provided that, the Officer so designated may admit an appeal preferred after the expiration of the 2 [thirty days] or, as the case may be, forty-five days as aforesaid if, such officer is satisfied that the appellant had sufficient cause for not preferring the appeal within the said period, (b) the full amount claimed in the notice of assessment from the appellant together with the amount of interest, if any, due thereon till the date of preferring an appeal, has been deposited by him in the office of the Authority.
